“90% intelligence comes from Open Sources (OSINT)” – LTG Samuel Wilson, former director of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA)
Although throughout most of my career, I have held clearances of Top Secret and above, the materials cited in my books are all derived from OSINT and scholarly treatises found in scientific and military journals. I have also relied heavily on a wide range of literary works by distinguished leaders, scientists, and historians. My stories have been researched extensively. I also rely heavily on Google Earth and other open-source mapping agencies and am in awe of the detailed images available on the internet. For example, in Jayu, I was able to find high-resolution images of the RGB facilities in my fictional raid and details of the North Korean concentration camps. In Beware the Sleeping Dragon I was able to locate the ASAT facilities in China’s Xinjiang province.
